I brought back some mellowcreme pumpkins to share with friends here. They seem to think that they taste like fudge. I've never really thought about because to me they taste like, well...candy pumpkins. Any thoughts?

Oh, and with your fondness of all candy that is gummy, I thought of you this week. My brother's rehearsal dinner for the wedding was a spooky Halloween bash. My mom found lots of odd creepy things. One thing she found was gummy body parts -- gummy candy in the shapes of eyes, fingers, noses, teeth, etc. Ewwww!
They're like candy corn only a little softer. I guess they're a hard fudge consistency; and both the pumpkins and fudge are full of sugar.
Are these the same friends that thought Reeses Cups were nothing special? If so, the whole debate is silly, because we're obviously right ;)
