Thanks for the nice pics. I particularly enjoyed the ones of London as they brought back a lot of memories of my visits there.

Concerning your move to London, I've thought of a few things you need to know.

First, the electrical current there is different. It uses 50hertz vice 60 in the states. What that means is that if you take any American appliances over there, you'll need a transformer to use them.

Second, they use a different tv signal there. I think it's called PAL (the U.S. system is called NTSC I believe). What that means is that your American set won't work other there. You'll have to buy or rent a British tv if you want to watch their shows. Also, if you decide to watch television over there, you'll have to pay the tv tax (yes there is such a thing there). It used to be L83 for a color tv. I don't know what it is now as I haven't lived in England since 1995. Make sure you do pay the tv tax as the fine for failing to pay the tax is quite steep and they do look for folks that haven't paid the tax.

I hope these two bits of information help. I envy you big time your future move to London. It is an awesome city. Your time there will be something you'll be able to remember and treasure for the rest of your life.

I hope you keep posting in your blog while you're there. It'll be awesome to hear of your adventures there.

Cheers!
