The Nasty Boys

Here's a little Reds flashback for you:

I'm sure everyone remembers when the Reds went wire-to-wire and won the World Series in 1990. I was 9 then and only recently learned what the term "wire-to-wire" meant (thanks Dad!). Although, I might have known it at the time because I was big into the Reds. Eric Davis was my favorite player at the time. I can't really remember why but he was definitely cool. (Hey, I never claimed to be a sports commentator). Melissa's favorite player was Chris Sabo...apparently she digs guys with rec specs.

So, if you're longing for the days when the Reds were a little more consistent, bid on this sweet Wheaties box my dad hung onto for 16 years. (I don't recommend eating them though)

Interesting note: Barry Larkin, Eric Davis, Paul O'Neill, Billy Hatcher, Jose Rijo, Rob Dibble, Norm Charlton and Randy Myers all have their own entries on Wikipedia but Chris Sabo doesn't. I wonder how it feels to have an entry on Wikipedia...or not?

Even more interesting note:

At today's Reds game, a guy was sporting a Chris Sabo jersey. But it was a San Francisco 49ers Sabo jersey.

I have no idea what that was about.

Hm...I probably shouldn't admit this but I don't know the term wire-to-wire either. I'm a sad excuse. lol.... I also have that wheaties box at home. I also have the enquirer the day after they won the world series that says "SWEEP!"
